On September 26th, the building freeze in the settlements will end at exactly 6:06 p.m. Likud MK Danny Danon says the second this time is reached, they will break ground in Judea and Samaria. He will not allow the opponents to extend the freeze any longer than they already have.
Danon told the Jerusalem Post that “opponents of the freeze are already planning a large ceremony in Samaria for that moment, complete with tractors that will break ground for new homes.”
In addition to Danny Danon of Likud, the heads of political parties such as, Yisrael Beitenu, Shas, United Torah Judaism and Habayit Hayehudi have always been strongly opposed to extending the freeze later than September 26th. They believe the settlements of Judea and Samaria are key to Israel’s independence and that Israel must maintain it’s position regarding these areas.

This legislation, which calls for harsher treatment of Hamas terrorist prisoners was sparked by the unequal living conditions of Gilad Shalit and Hamas prisoners, has just been confirmed by the Knesset. Danny Danon wanted to put pressure on Palestinian forces by worsening the living conditions of Hamas prisoners, so hopefully, Gilad Shalit’s kidnappers will want to proceed with talks about his safe release. NETANYA, Israel A life-size poster of Gilad Shalit’s body is picketed on the top of an army tank replica parked outside Hadrim Prison. The picture was taken from the most recent blurry video image Hamas sent Israel months ago. This poster stands juxtaposed next to a flag of Shalit before he was capture by Hamas in 2006, making Shalit look almost unrecognizable with his now emaciated and colorless body still wearing his Israeli army uniform. Yet, this image is the only contact, and more importantly, proof of life, that terrorists of Hamas have granted Shalit’s parents since his abduction.
To the Israeli protesters standing in outside the prison, Shalit is only one reminder of the vast inequality in the treatment of Israeli prisoners compared to Palestinian prisoners. Just yards away inside the Hadrim Prison, Arab prisoners have full visitation rights of their family members who often choose to visit the prison on a regular basis. Family visitation rights are an extra bonus granted by Israel that exceeds the mandatory U.N. visitation laws. According to the U.N., prisoners are only required to have a once a week visitation by a lawyer and a Red Cross representative. Shalit receives neither.

No-State Solution

If you want to know what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thinks about the peace process, don’t watch what he does, listen to what Danny Danon says.
Danon is a whippersnapper member of Knesset from the Likud party. In 2006, he opposed then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s disengagement from Gaza. For the past year, he’s been attacking Netanyahu for suspending new settlement construction per the United States’ demands. When the Obama administration chastised Netanyahu last March for announcing new building in East Jerusalem, it was Danon who snapped back, saying U.S. pressure on Israel hurts Israel and hurts peace. If you saw the movie “Youth in Revolt” with Michael Cera (and you should, it’s a very good movie with a very bad trailer), Danon is like Cera’s belligerent alter ego, egging him on, toughening him up. In other words, Danny Danon is Bibi Netanyahu, 20 years ago.
I met Danon in the lobby of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in late March, after he’d spent a few days speaking around Southern California. He is a native Israeli of North African heritage, dark-featured, and was decked out in a well-cut suit and power tie — not your father’s shirt-sleeve Israeli pol. At 39, he is chairman of the World Likud and Deputy Speaker of the Knesset. People said that if I wanted to meet the future of Israel, I had to meet Danny Danon.

The White House continues to “scold” Israel
Danny Danon, member of the Israeli Knesset, joined the Steve Malzberg Show to discuss the United States’ scolding of Israel. This is the first time the country has felt pressure from their biggest ally the United States. This is a surprising statement from an individual who has been very critical of Netanyahu throughout the years. Danny is now afraid that the White House will soon ask that Israeli’s not say that Jerusalem is the homeland of the Israeli people as not to offend the Palestinian people.

"Can you imagine someone in the U.S. saying Hispanics or blacks or Muslims cannot build in a certain city?"
JERUSALEM – A member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party slammed as “racist” President Obama’s policies against Jewish construction in the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem.
“I think it is racist,” stated Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon. “Can you imagine someone in the U.S. saying Hispanics or blacks or Muslims cannot build in a certain city?”
“What we see now coming from the (Obama) administration – telling Jews to not build in major parts of Jerusalem – is unacceptable,” said Danon.
The Israeli lawmaker was speaking in a radio interview with WND senior reporter Aaron Klein, who hosts an investigative program on New York’s WABC 770 AM.
Danon, the deputy speaker of Israel’s parliament, said most Israelis see Obama as “biased toward the Palestinian side.”

Chairman of World Likud, MK Danny Danon:
“Nothing is more in the heart of the Israeli consensus as building a synagogue in the Jewish Quarter,” he said, “But anything Jewish immediately sparks controversy. We have to tell our American friends – ‘keep your hands off Jerusalem and afford Jews their right to pray in the Old City.”
